SEMINOLE – The Seminole High School Band Boosters in coordination with the Florida Federation of Colorguards will host the annual Seminole Visual Spectacular Competition on Saturday, March 15, at Seminole High School.
The event will bring together the finest in winter guards with exciting flag and rifle work, choreography and visual effects. The show also will feature percussion units in competition.
Over 50 units will compete. Local schools scheduled to participate include Countryside, Largo, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, Northside Christian, Osceola and Seminole. Those from outside Pinellas County include Colonial, Plant City, Riverview, Freedom, Gaither, Cape Coral and Fleming Island as well as two independent guards.
The day will begin with the first colorguard performance at 10 a.m., followed by the percussion competition, which commences at 7 p.m. A Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit event, the competition will provide awards in all competing classifications. Full concessions and souvenirs will be available. Admission is $15 for age 6 to adult. Children under 6 are free. Admission for students and active military is $12.
