The College Fund of Pinellas County Inc. plans to award at least 13 $1,000 scholarships this summer.
Applicants must be receiving a Pell Grant for the fall 2014 through spring 2015 school year and be residents of Pinellas County. Once students are selected, they can continue to receive $1,000 per year until graduation, providing they maintain their grades and continue to receive a Pell grant.
In order to enhance their chances of being scheduled for an interview, new applicants should submit their application as soon as possible after the spring 2014 college semester, or after graduation for high school students. No applications will be accepted after 32 interview slots are filled or July 25, whichever comes first. Additional requirements and an application form can be found on the charity’s website, www.collegefundpinellas.org.
