CLEARWATER – Casey Moore, a resident of Safety Harbor, is Clearwater Central Catholic High School’s 2013 valedictorian, with a 4.53 GPA, who will attend the University of North Carolina. The school’s salutatorian, Rachel Miller, graduates with a 4.50 GPA and will attend Jacksonville University where she will play on the volleyball team.
International Baccalaureate valedictorian Matthew Adam earned a 4.66 GPA and will attend the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. IB salutatorian Alyssa Rodriguez graduates with a 4.64 GPA and will attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
New girls’ basketball coach hired CLEARWATER – Clearwater Central Catholic High School announced on May 29 that Stephen Gowski would be the new girls’ basketball coach. Gowski was the assistant girls’ basketball coach in the 2012-2013 school year and has also coached at St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School, Belleair Recreation Center, Seminole High School and for Amateur Athletic Union teams. He is also a 1981 graduate of CCC, where he was the captain of the boys’ basketball team during his junior and senior year.
Senior receives Good Citizenship award CLEARWATER – Monica Ramos, daughter of Luis and Margarita Ramos and senior at Clearwater Central Catholic High School, received the Sons of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Medal and Certificate on May 17. The organization seeks to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism and American citizenship.
After graduation, Ramos plans to attend Louisiana State University to major in business, and then intends to go to law school.
