SEMINOLE – A new principal is expected to join the staff at Seminole Middle School.
Pinellas County Schools Superintendent Michael Grego appointed Wendy Bryan, formerly principal at Frontier Elementary School, to the position. The appointment was on the agenda for the School Board’s Dec. 10 meeting.
Bryan will fill the shoes of former principal Thomas Lechner, who Grego promoted to assistant superintendent of technology and information systems in November. Lechner served as SMS principal since 2007.

From 1997 to 2003, she worked as a behavior intervention specialist at Lynch Elementary School, and as an assistant principal at Richard L. Sanders School from 2003 to 2007. She joined Frontier as principal in 2007.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English education, a master’s degree in varying exceptionalities K-12 and a certificate in education leadership, all from the University of South Florida.
