Barefoot Beach Vacation Rentals co-owners Kathy and Bill Priakos have entered into a management agreement with Forbes Hamilton Management Co. of Kissimmee. Barry Bartley, right, will serve as general manager.
INDIAN SHORES – Barefoot Beach Vacation Rentals, operating as Barefoot Beach Resort, and Forbes Hamilton Management Co. of Kissimmee have entered in a management agreement effective Jan. 1 for Forbes Hamilton to manage more than half of the resort’s 162 units.
“We are very pleased to have Forbes Hamilton assume the management of our operation here,” said Bill Priakos, who owns Barefoot Beach Vacation Rentals with his wife Kathy. “We are confident they can maintain our philosophy of superior hospitality service to our guests. With their team’s experience they will take our resort to the next level to benefit our unit owners.”
Forbes Hamilton is no stranger to the Clearwater/St. Pete area. The company has managed the Bilmar Beach Resort in Treasure Island since 2000.
“We have enjoyed a number of projects in the Clearwater-St. Pete Beach communities over the years,” said Tom Johnsen, president of Forbes Hamilton. “Our latest management contract with Barefoot Vacation Rentals gives us another opportunity to work in the community. It really is a fantastic area and we look forward to welcoming more guests to the property while delivering the superior service Forbes Hamilton is known for.”
Long time Forbes Hamilton associate, Barry Bartley, assumed the role of general manager with the transition at the beginning of the month. He previously held general manager positions in Barefoot Beach Vacation Rentals was established in May 2006, soon after the conversion of The Indian Pass Apartments to condos. This $20 million project is on 5 acres next door to the Salt Rock Grill.
The resort caters to one- and two-week stays, but also accepts reservations for shorter getaways. The property features 162 one and two-bedroom condos, each privately owned.
Forbes Hamilton was established in 1986 in Orlando as a resort and hotel management company that provides a hands-on approach.
The company’s portfolio consists of eight hotel and resort properties throughout Florida from Madison County to Key West.
