MADEIRA BEACH – Two ribbon-cutting ceremonies will take place Thursday, Feb. 6, 5:15 p.m., at John’s Pass Village.
The first ribbon cutting will celebrate the grand opening of John’s Pass Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor, 121 129th Ave. E. The establishment will be the only ice cream parlor with indoor seating at the Pass.
The second ribbon-cutting immediately follows the first and will celebrate the expansion to the Alligator Attraction, upstairs near the elevators at 12973 Village Blvd. The event will showcase the new stingray touch tank.
Guests may enjoy a free sample of ice cream, and take photos in the child-size wooden ice cream truck cutout. The ice cream parlor also features retro candy, chips, and fountain as well as bottled drinks. There also will be 50 live alligators, ranging in size from 8 inches to 8 feet; koi fish that drink from a baby bottle, and several rescued animals. The Alligator Attraction was featured on Animal Planet’s “Tanked.”
