Woman banned from Publix
TREASURE ISLAND – A Kenneth City woman was banned by police from the Publix Supermarket, 111 104th Ave., Treasure Island, after she was seen grabbing another woman’s purse.

According to a police report, Cynthia Jean Verozal, 53, was observed by a store employee taking an 83-year-old woman’s purse and attempting to leave the store. The employee stopped Verozal, who said she mistakenly grabbed the purse, believing it to be her own.

The victim decided not to press criminal charges against Verozal, but store manager Suzanne Robins requested Verozal be banned from returning to the property.
