Woman charged with battery TREASURE ISLAND – A St. Petersburg woman was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery by Treasure Island police following a fight on May 4 at Gators Cafe, 12754 Kingfish Drive.
According to a police report, Caren Candice Carlson, 33, of 5237 92nd Way N., was arrested by police shortly after 1 a.m. after engaging in a fight with a 38-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman. Carlson was transported to Pinellas County Jail where bond was set at $150.
Leased car burglarized TREASURE ISLAND – A 53-year-old Pennsylvania woman was the victim of auto burglary and grand theft from a leased car May 6 in a county parking lot at 10400 Gulf Blvd. According to a police report, the woman’s 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was broken into about 2 p.m. and items valued at more than $375 were stolen. Police said the list included $300 in cash, a sterling silver hair clip, three credit cards and a driver’s license.
Tote bag taken from car TREASURE ISLAND – Police are searching for a suspect that stole a tote bag from a leased car May 11 in the 11900 block of Gulf Boulevard. According to a police report, two vacationers from Floral Park, N.Y., lost more than $350 in items in the bag. The items included a Pink Razor cell phone, a black Samsung cell phone, a Nano Ipod and the rental car keys.
