TREASURE ISLAND – A routine traffic stop for a broken tail light on a car resulted in the arrest of a Treasure Island man on two outstanding warrants.

Police pulled over the 21-year-old driver of a 1999 Pontiac about 3 p.m. on June 6 and issued the driver a warning for the broken tail light. Police also checked the identification of passenger Christopher Close, 38, and discovered he was wanted on a Pinellas County warrant for possession of paraphernalia and a Hillsborough County warrant for failing to pay child support.

Close was transported to Pinellas County Jail where bond was set at $7,513.

Another passenger in the car, Kathryn MacClary, 21, of Pinellas Park, was discovered to be in possession of a suspended driver’s license. Police seized the license and entered it into a property locker.
