Loder arrested for grand theft
REDINGTON SHORES – John W. Loder Jr., 21, of Redington Shores was arrested June 21 by Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with grand theft.

According to a sheriff’s report, Loder was charged in connection with the theft of jewelry and other personal items from an aunt’s residence in Redington Beach. Loder was also charged with violation of parole in relation to four previous offenses. Bond was set at $50,000.

Police investigate auto burglary
TREASURE ISLAND – Police are investigating an auto burglary that took place June 14 in the parking lot of the Jamaican Motel, 11660 Gulf Blvd. According to a police report, the owner of a four-door 2007 Chevrolet lost items totaling $499. The list included a Magellan GPS unit, a Verizon cell phone charger and two cartons of Winston Light cigarettes. The investigation continues.

Tampa man arrested on outstanding warrant
TREASURE ISLAND – A 32-year-old Tampa man was arrested by police June 21 on an outstanding warrant for carrying a glass container on the beach. Brett Coover was pulled over by police for failure to yield to pedestrians when the outstanding warrant was discovered. Coover’s 2006 four-door BMW was impounded and Coover was taken to Pinellas County Jail where bond was set at $113.
