Article published on Tuesday, July 1, 2008
TREASURE ISLAND – The city of Treasure Island is now accepting passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for passports and passport renewals Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Treasure Island City Hall, 120 108th Ave.
The new passport service includes passport photos and all necessary applications to process and obtain a new or renew an American passport.
Mark Santos, Internet Technologies director for the city, said residents who wish to apply for a passport or a passport renewal should visit www.travel.state.gov to find out documentation requirements and then set up an appointment at Treasure Island City Hall. Appointments are made by calling 547-4575.
Residents also can get to the passport site through the City of Treasure Island Web site at www.mytreasureisland.org and click on the American flag.
