Woman arrested on drug charges
TREASURE ISLAND – A Treasure Island woman was arrested July 6 and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Treasure Island police executed a Pinellas County warrant for Linda A. Jordan, 52, for a housing violation at the Jefferson Motel, 10116 Gulf Blvd. According to a police report, Jordan was high on cocaine upon arrival by police at 2:14 p.m. During a search of the motel room, police discovered a crack pipe with residue that tested positive on a presumptive test. Jordan was taken to Palms of Pasadena Hospital and later transported to Pinellas County Jail.

Motel theft lands man in jail
TREASURE ISLAND – A St. Petersburg Beach man was arrested July 6 and charged with employee theft and commercial trespassing. According to a police report, Victor Roessler, 66, no known address and an employee of the Trails End Motel, 11500 Gulf Blvd., stole money from the motel cash register, took a key to a room at the motel and used the room. He was transported to Pinellas County Jail.

Emergency call results in warrant arrest
TREASURE ISLAND – An emergency call to Sloppy Joe’s on July 13 resulted in the arrest of a Treasure Island man who had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue responded to the business at 10650 Gulf Blvd. at 7:44 p.m. for an emergency involving John Raymond Broderick, 65, who was choking on a piece of hard candy and fell to the floor. Broderick coughed up the candy when he hit the floor and refused further treatment. A routine check by Treasure Island police indicated he was wanted on a Pinellas County warrant for violation of probation for reckless driving. Broderick was transported to Pinellas County Jail.
