TREASURE ISLAND – The Florida Department of Transportation has started a project to improve the drainage on Gulf Boulevard between 99th and 105th avenues.
The project will involve the installation of trench drain structures along the edge of the travel lanes.
The contractor completing the work is Florida Safety Contractors Inc. There will be lane closures associated with this work.
The work will begin on the east side of Gulf Boulevard at 99th Avenue and will go north to 105th Avenue.
The contractor will then move to the west side of Gulf Boulevard at 104th Avenue and then move south completing at 99th Avenue.
The contractor and the FDOT will be contacting individual property owners in the described work areas to inform them as to what to expect.
