Gulf Library announces October events

MADEIRA BEACH – The following events are scheduled in October at the Gulf Beaches Public Library:
Computer classes
All classes at 1 p.m. If you’re bringing a laptop, please set it up before the class begins.
• Email class, Wednesday, Oct. 10.
• Open Forum, Monday, Oct. 15.
• Internet Class, Wednesday, Oct. 17.
• Facebook, Monday, Oct. 22.
Adult programs
• Alcoholics Anonymous, Wednesdays, 8 to 9 p.m., this group meets on the grounds of the library in the back patio.
• World of Humor Film: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 4 p.m.
• Investment Club, Thursdays, 2:30 p.m., Join a group of experienced investors in an exchange of ideas about the current market and investment opportunities.
• Scrabble, Fridays, 1 to 4 p.m.
• Writer’s Group, Mondays, 10 a.m. to noon. All writers welcome. Bring a few pages of your work in progress to be critiqued by the group.
Book groups
• Chatterbooks, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 10:30 a.m., “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” by Jamie Ford.
Children’s programs
• Baby and Me Storytime, infant to 2 years, Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. Short stories, puppets, songs and fingerplay followed by a play session.
• Wild Things Storytime and Art Class, ages 2-4, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. Stories, puppets, songs, fingerplays, followed by an art/craft class at 11 a.m.
• First Friday at 4, Oct. 5, school age.
• Halloween Party, school age, Friday, Oct. 26, 4 p.m. Witch’s toes, graveyard punch, broomsticks, organ music, and crafts.
