Police investigate motel room burglary
TREASURE ISLAND – A 33-year-old Tampa man reported a back pack and other items stolen from his motel room at the Sea Horse Cottages, 10356 Gulf Blvd., on Nov. 1. In addition to the back pack, items taken included an Ipod, cell phone charger, miscellaneous toiletries and clothing. The value was placed at $410.

Jewelry theft reported
TREASURE ISLAND – Treasure Island police are investigating the theft of nearly $1,300 worth of jewelry from a home in the 500 block of Sandy Hook Road. According to a police report, the theft took place Oct. 29 and was discovered the same day. The items included an opal bracelet and ring, gold earrings, sapphire gold slide, gold chain necklace, pearl necklace and a leather jewelry box.

Patio furniture stolen from Isle of Palms home
TREASURE ISLAND – The Treasure Island Police Department is investigating the theft of patio furniture from a residence on Isle of Palms. According to a city news release, five pieces of high quality patio furniture were stolen between Oct. 3 and 9. The items include a chaise lounge, two chairs and two ottoman end tables. The property is valued at over $3,000. Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to contact the Treasure Island Police Department at 547-4595.
