INDIAN SHORES – Bill Priakos, general manager of Barefoot Beach Vacation Rentals at Barefoot Beach Resort in Indian Shores, recently was appointed to the Pinellas County Tourism Development Council. He will serve a four-year term on the seven-person board.
“It is such a pleasure to promote our beautiful beach destination,” said Priakos. “It is truly a labor of love. I am very proud to work with this proactive organization.”
Priakos has been involved in the Pinellas County tourism industry since 2005, when he and his wife Kathy relocated from Arkansas. With an extensive background in marketing, he soon immersed himself in community initiatives including tourism chair for the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce, which led to his term as chairman of the board for the chamber.
He also has been active in the Condo Alliance of Tampa Bay, an initiative that works to promote the condo rental industry within the county.
An active and enthusiastic promoter of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Priakos considers it a high honor to receive the appointment to the Pinellas County Tourist Development Council.
