Residents in St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island should be advised that the Boil Water Advisory was rescinded on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. Normal water use can resume immediately.
Water samples confirmed that there was no contamination from a reduction in water pressure that occurred between 45th Avenue in St. Pete Beach and 116th Avenue in Treasure Island. Pinellas County issued the Boil Water Advisory on Tuesday, Dec. 3, as a precautionary step pursuant to the Florida Department of Health regulations after a reduction in water pressure occurred. The loss of water pressure was caused inadvertently during the upgrade of a potable water pumping station in the area.
