TREASURE ISLAND – The city’s recreation department is looking for people with various skills to teach classes at the department’s four community centers.
“We’ll work with them to determine the cost for each class and how much they will be compensated for teaching,” said Treasure Island Recreation Director Cathy Hayduke. “Our plan is to add exciting activities.”
Examples of skills the department is looking for include aerobics, yoga, kickboxing, dancercise, cheerleading, martial arts and health and wellness education, to name a few. The department is also looking for instructors to teach activities such as scrap booking, quilting, calligraphy, jewelry making, computers, art and hobbies.
Treasure Island offers four facilities of differing sizes, all with safe and ample parking, updated amenities and support staff.
