Anne Miller Mettee
BELLEAIR – Anne Miller Mettee died Jan. 7, 2005 following a short illness. She was born at home in Catonsville, Md., April, 18, 1914. She was active in her church, St. Timothy’s, and ran a knitting shop at the Women’s Exchange.

Married to George Dawson Mettee on March 29, 1937, she moved to Baltimore and lived there until 1958 when they moved to Atlanta. She was active at St. Martin’s In The Fields and treasurer of the Bargain Shop. In 1966 they moved to Belleair and she was active at Calvary Episcopal Church in Indian Rocks Beach, volunteered at Morton Plant Hospital for 26 years and drove for FISH.

Predeceased by her husband on May 3, 1993, she is survived by her children, Daniel Bradley Mettee and Sonja Skelton Mettee of Largo; Page Mettee McDonald and E. Graham McDonald of Fayetteville, Ga.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Calvary Episcopal Church, 1615 First St., Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785, where a memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 17, 10 a.m., with a reception to follow. The family will receive visitors at this time.
