CLEARWATER BEACH – Clearwater Yacht Club celebrated its annual Blessing of the Fleet on March 29 with a solemn ceremony recognizing members of the yacht club who passed away last year.
More than 30 boats made their way around the basin in front of the yacht club and saluted Commodore Gene Fleming as they passed by the club.
Monsignor Edward Mulligan led the event in prayer and bagpipe player Pat Snair played “Amazing Grace” and patriotic tunes. Also on hand was the Clearwater Fire Department honor guard.
