BELLEAIR – The American Cancer Society invites companies, organizations, families, schools, individuals and all others who want to honor cancer survivors and caregivers, or pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer, to join the Greater Belleair Relay For Life, Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20, at the town soccer field.
Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, barbecue, dance, and take turns walking around a track relay style to raise funds to fight cancer.
At nightfall, participants will light hundreds of luminaries around the track in a moving ceremony to honor cancer survivors as well as friends and family members lost to the disease.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.
To join the Greater Belleair Relay For Life, call Nicole Hartwell at 546-9822, ext. 7009.
For more information about the American Cancer Society, call 1-800-ACS-2345, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or visit www.cancer.org.
