Firefighters to honor Mike Alstott

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Indian Rocks Volunteer Firemen’s Association of Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue have chosen former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Alstott as the 2009 recipient of their Commitment to Excellence in Leadership Award.
Alstott was chosen because of his outstanding work, not only during the years of his football career, but also in view of his role in caring for those in need through his philanthropic charity, the Mike Alstott Family Foundation. The gala dinner event honoring Alstott will be honored Friday, Oct. 9, at the Holiday Inn Harbourside. Seating is limited to 230 persons.
