Woman reports SUV stolen in Bluffs, then later returned

BELLEAIR BLUFFS – A woman reported her SUV was stolen from the Port Belleair condominiums at 100 Bluff View Drive shortly before 5:30 p.m. on June 24. She reported it was returned hours later.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the woman told deputies she was visiting a friend and was certain she had locked her Honda Pilot. She reported it missing when she and the friend prepared to go out for the evening. She said that when they returned around 9 p.m., they spotted the Honda parked across the street, with a man sitting inside.
According to the report, the woman inquired what the man was doing in her vehicle, at which time he punched her in the face and fled on foot.
A small amount of cash and cigarettes were missing from the vehicle.
The suspect was described as a white male, 6-feet tall, weighing 160 pounds with spiked hair.
There has been no arrest.
