SAND KEY – Arlene Martinez was elected as a delegate to the 2004 Democratic National Convention from the 10th Congressional District. The convention will take place Monday to Wednesday, July 26 to 28 in Boston.
Martinez will join 4,353 delegates from every state and territory to nominate the Democratic candidate for president of the United States.
Martinez is a retired American Airlines flight attendant who was based in New York during the 9/11 attacks. At that time, Martinez felt the need to seek the truth for her fallen co-workers.
In addition to nominating candidates for president and vice president, Martinez and other delegates will vote on the Democratic Party’s National Platform.
