BELLEAIR BLUFFS – The Swanky Swine “chefs” recently catered a lunch for the board of directors of AchieveHERS at Codys in Belleair Bluffs.
The Swanky Swine exists to educate, empower and employ young adults with developmental disabilities. Jennifer Tollefson is the director of transition services at Woodlawn Community Academy in Clearwater. She founded the Swanky Swine school store where about 10 special needs students work during lunchtime on Wednesdays and Fridays. They make and sell drinks and snacks and 100 percent of the profits are used to develop the program. Proceeds directly benefit the students.
AchieveHERS was established under the auspices of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce to help businesswomen reach their full potential by providing camaraderie, support, success stories and inspiration.
