Taste of IRB planned for Nov. 3

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Taste of IRB is Saturday, Nov. 3, 4 to 10 p.m., in Chic-A-Si Park.
Now in its sixth year, the event is presented by the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association and the city of Indian Rocks Beach.
This year, Second Street between the park and the Holiday Inn will be closed to traffic to make it bigger, better and less crowded.
The evening, sponsored by Century 21 Beggins, features tastes from local restaurants, live music by Espree deKor, and local business booths. Participating restaurants include Guppy’s on the Beach, Red Lion, Pie Factory, On the Rocks, The Pub, Island Fish, Pajano’s Pizza, Stefano’s, Crabby Bill’s, Le Bouchon Bistro, Havana Harry’s, Cafe De Paris, Marlin Darlin, Keegan’s Seafood Grill, Donnie’s Coastal Cafe, Tapas Garden, Slyce Pizza Bar, On The Rocks, Kooky Coconut, Coasters and IRB Sushi.
The Homeowners Association will be selling beer, sponsored by Crabby Bills, and wine sponsored by Slyce Pizza Bar. The Community Food Pantry from the Calvary Episcopal Church will be selling water and soft drinks, donated by the Homeowners Association, with all proceeds going to the food pantry.
Other vendors include Nekton Surf Shop, Delectable Edibles, Island Surf Shop, Island Cove Beads and Gallery and the IRB Welcome Center. All non-food vendors will be moved onto the street along with the beer and wine.
In conjunction with the Taste of IRB, the Homeowners Association is sponsoring its annual raffle for a chance to win more than $600 in gift certificates from all of our vendors. Raffle tickets will be on sale for $2 each or 3 for $5. We will have the drawing at the end of the evening. You do not need to be present to win.
Admission is free and everyone is invited. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, and plan to spend the evening. All proceeds will go back to the community through the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association. civic projects. Coolers and dogs are prohibited.
