Article published on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007
BELLEAIR – Two fishermen spotted a body floating near the boat slips adjacent to condominiums along Belleview Boulevard Tuesday afternoon and called 911. Paramedics arriving on the scene pronounced the victim deceased at 5:56 p.m.

According to Belleair police Lt. William Sohl, the victim, Solomon Minc, 60, was a resident of the condominium at 8 Belleview Blvd. and had apparently been checking on his boat at the time the incident occurred.

Minc lived with his wife; the couple has two daughters whose ages were not immediately available. The family has been notified and the police are awaiting the results of the medical examiner’s report. There were no witnesses and the police do not suspect foul play.
