CLEARWATER - A water main break has occurred on Harbor Island in the Island Estates area of Clearwater. Crews from Clearwater's Public Utilities Department immediately responded and repaired the 6-inch water main; it is now back in service.
A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued to about 75 homes that include addresses from 637 to 900 Harbor Island. Those who are impacted by the water main break have already been contacted and received a door hanger on their property by crews who went door-to-door.
If a resident has not received a door hanger, that property is not affected, and no action is required. A rescission notice will be issued to the affected properties when water samples are reported clear after testing. Test results should be available Feb. 11 or 12.
Traffic in the area may be impacted during the repair. Please call 727-562-4960 with questions.
