Clearwater police are looking for these two suspects in connection to a vehicle burglary and fraudulent credit card use.
Man arrested for battery on officer CLEARWATER – A Clearwater man was released from St. Anthony’s Hospital on Feb. 10 and subsequently arrested by Clearwater police for two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
On Dec. 23, patrol officers were dispatched to Mark Wayne Bill’s residence for a welfare check after family members called and expressed concern for his state of mind. Shortly after officers arrived, Bill, 56, exited the residence armed with a rifle and was shot by officers. He is being held at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
Cars burglarized at stadium CLEARWATER – Clearwater police report that three vehicles were burglarized in the west parking lot of Jack Russell Stadium around 7:50 p.m. Feb. 8 during a high school baseball game. Items taken include wallets, money and a cell phone. Police remind the public that thieves target places where people may leave valuables in the car for convenience. Such places include stadiums, fitness centers, daycares and churches.
Suspects wanted for credit fraud CLEARWATER – On Feb. 5, two suspects used a stolen credit card at the Publix at 3000 East Bay Drive, Largo. The card was taken during a vehicle burglary that happened earlier that day at the Sam’s Club on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clearwater Police Tip Line at 562-4422.
Man arrested for sexual battery on child CLEARWATER – Oscar Larry, 65, of Clearwater was arrested Feb. 6 for sexual battery on a child younger than 12. The crime occurred over 20 years ago, according to a Clearwater Police Facebook report. The victim is now 26 and contacted Clearwater police to report that she was the victim of sexual battery that started in September 1994 and lasted until September 1997. During this three-year period, the suspect allegedly sexually battered the victim repeatedly. The suspect allegedly made incriminating statements and was arrested. He is being held at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
