CLEARWATER - Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies apprehended three suspects about 3 a.m. Feb. 19 in connection with an overnight Robbery in an unincorporated section of Clearwater.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, Deandre Gray, Jacarius Hannah and Avery Jamal Jones-Neal hid behind parked cars in the parking lot of Pit Stop Discount Wine, 2201 North Hercules Ave. in Clearwater. Once the clerk came outside of the business, all three suspects ambushed him, taking his keys, cellular phone, and laptop computer.
After taking the victim’s belongings, the suspects fled the area on foot.
Deputies arrived on scene a short time later and began to set a perimeter around the immediate area. K-9 Units tracked the suspect’s scent to a nearby neighborhood. Further investigation led deputies to all three suspects hiding at local IHOP restaurant.
All three were charged with Strong Arm Robbery and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Gray, 19, of Dunedin was released on a $10,000 bond Feb. 20. Hannah, 18, of Clearwater and Jones-Neal, 19, of Dunedin, were still in jail as of Feb. 20 on $10,000 bond.
