CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Threshers have announced their 2014 promotional calendar. Highlights of the summer fun at Bright House Field include a concert series, bobble head giveaways, and 12 fireworks nights.
“Our promotions and baseball games are a great opportunity for family fun,” said Amanda Koch, promotions and community relations manager. “Whether it is post-game fireworks or kids running the bases, Bright House Field and Threshers baseball provide amazing entertainment.”
The Threshers’ summer concert series, presented by Leinekugel and New Belgium, features six nights of post-game music. The first concert is Friday, April 18 and is a country night theme with a performance from Jamie Lynn Spears. The Old School Show on Friday, July 11 will have Coolio and Slick Rick on stage after the game.
Two bobble giveaways are set for Friday, April 18 when a Jimmy Rollins bobble-head will be handed out to commemorate his off-season induction into the Florida State League Hall of Fame. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is helping the Threhers honor aquarium residents Hope and Winter with a dolphin bobble-head on Friday, June 27.
Other notable dates include opening night with fireworks on Friday, April 4; Bark at the Ballpark on Sunday, April 6; a job fair on Wednesday, April 9; a networking night on Thursday, April 17; a Star Wars night on Saturday, April 19; an anti-bullying education day on Wednesday, May 14; on Saturday, June 21 the Phillie Phanatic visits; the largest fireworks show of the season is on Thursday, July 3; on Friday, July 11 is the annual Pitch for Pink; and military night is on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Weekly promotions include Brunch at the Ballpark on Sundays; feeding Frenzy Mondays; Florida Credit Union $1 Tuesdays; Happy Hour Wednesdays; Three Olives Thursday’s Ladies Night; two-for-one Thursdays; Tampa Bay Times Family Night Fridays; and post-game fireworks on Saturdays.
