CLEARWATER – Joshua Magidson, chairman of Ruth Eckerd Hall’s board of directors, recently announced that Zev Buffman, president and CEO of Ruth Eckerd Hall Inc., has received a contract extension through December 2016.
“The decision reached at this week’s board of directors meeting was unanimous,” Magidson said in a press release. “Zev has led us through challenging times, all the while never wavering in his commitment and dedication to Ruth Eckerd Hall, the city of Clearwater and the entire Tampa Bay community. His determination overseeing the renovation and reopening of the Capitol Theatre in 10 months is just one of many examples of his leadership and passion for the performing arts.”
“Upon joining this organization just over two years ago, I made public a list of all the projects targeted for our staff and board to accomplish and we are well on our way,” said Buffman. “I knew that we were up to the task and that we could see multi challenges through. We still have many more exciting projects to complete and I cannot wait for our amazing team to complete them.”
Buffman joined Ruth Eckerd Hall in January 2012. He has produced more than 40 Broadway shows and 100 national tours. Among his numerous awards and accolades, Buffman has received 29 Tony Award nominations.
