CLEARWATER – The city of Clearwater has just entered its 99th year as a city. Plans are underway to celebrate the city’s centennial, which occurs on May 27, 2015.
To get everyone ready for this important year, the city has posted a countdown clock on its website, www.myclearwater.com, and has unveiled its centennial logo. A contest was held to design the logo, and the winning artist is Michael O’Connell.
A historical centennial book will be published, and the city will celebrate throughout the year. The centennial events will be posted on the city’s website and its Facebook page as they are finalized.
