CLEARWATER Ė Matt Hanna was critically injured in a bicycle vs. car crash more than six years ago. On June 3, he got to meet with two of the Clearwater Fire and Rescue personnel who came to his aid the day he was hurt.
Thanks to their efforts, Hanna was saved and was able to graduate Largo High School on June 2.
Lt. Rob Lee and Lt. Pete Gushee surprised Hanna at Sabal Palms in Largo, where he lives and continues to receive treatment. The two brought him a fire helmet with his name on it, a baseball cap with the agencyís name on it, a T-shirt, and a challenge coin. Hanna got to talk to the two lieutenants and local media.
