CLEARWATER - Julia Anna Buhrle (nee Moos) of Clearwater, Fla. died June 17, 2013 at Brookside Hospice Care Center, just days before age 96.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and lived in Pennsauken, N.J. for 30 years before moving to Palm Harbor, Fla. in 1982. Julia was married and widowed three times.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Anna, and two grandchildren, Harry and Jacqueline.
She worked in electronics manufacturing for Remington Rand/Univac. Julia was a remarkable seamstress who designed and sewed wardrobes for herself, her children and grandchildren. In her late 60s and 70s she was an award-winning competitive ballroom dancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia Bohl and her son-in-law, Don, of Port Chester, N.Y. and her son, Harry Barth and his wife, Penny, of Dunedin; her grandchildren, Kristina Bohl Christian of N.Y., and Don G. Bohl of Maine; her great-grandchildren, Adam Bohl and Janet Christian, and step-great-granddaughter, Nicole Zganjer. Visitation will be at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, on June 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. A Christian Service of remembrance will be held at Hope Presbyterian Church, 1698 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, on June 30 at 4 p.m.
