CLEARWATER – Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for help to identify a shoplifting suspect who stole from a department store in Clearwater July 23.
According to detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit, at about 11:30 a.m., a white male, about 6 feet tall with a slender build was standing near the jewelry cases at the Kohl’s department store, 2514 S.R. 580 in unincorporated Clearwater. The man asked the clerk to see two necklaces from the locked display case. The clerk turned away for a moment and the suspect left the store with the jewelry.
Detectives said the man also has a partial beard along his jaw bone and a tattoo on his right forearm.
He was seen leaving the parking lot in a late 90s to early 2000s model Toyota 4Runner, dark in color, with tinted windows, running boards and metal front and rear bumpers.
