CLEARWATER Hooters turns 30 on Oct. 4, and at each restaurant the iconic brand is celebrating with a "delightfully tacky, yet unrefined" party, food and merchandise specials, and the gift of free wings for a year.
Hooters Restaurants nationwide have something planned each day, from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, culminating with the big party and wings-for-a-year giveaway on Friday night.
Daily events are as follows:
Monday, Sept. 30 Merchandise Monday: Hooters fans are invited to #stepintoawesome by wearing any Hooters merchandise to Hooters to receive 30 percent off any one item of merchandise (some restrictions apply).
Tuesday, Oct. 1 Take Me Back Tuesday: Hooters guests receive 30 percent off any Hooters hamburger all day, dine-in only. The offer is not valid on the lunch special.
Wednesday, Oct. 2 Wednesday Wingsday: Guests may purchase 10 boneless wings and fries or tater tots for $6.99.
Thursday, Oct. 3 Traditional Wing Thursday: Guests in Hooters Restaurants receive 30 percent off Hooters World Famous Traditional Bone-in Wings all day, dine-in only.
Friday, Oct. 4 Birthday Party: Celebrate at any Hooters with the nation's largest birthday party starting at 6 p.m. Hooters Girls from the past 30 years will return to the locations where they worked for the event.
Each guest who enters Hooters that night for the party will be given a numbered ticket. One winner in each restaurant will receive a birthday present from Hooters free Hooters Wings for a year. The winning number (same for all stores) will be announced at 8 p.m. ET, during a Hooters TV commercial with Jon Gruden on Fox Sports 1.
In honor of the 2014 Hooters Calendar's release during Hooters' birthday week, there will be girls signing calendars at the Original Hooters in Clearwater, 2800 Gulf to Bay Blvd., 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 4.
The now internationally famous Hooters brand got its start in Clearwater. The 2800 Gulf to Bay Blvd. location is the restaurant that in 1983 launched the brand that now boasts more than 452 locations in 44 states and 28 countries.
