CLEARWATER – The Abilities Foundation in Clearwater asks residents to help the organization win a $25,000 Home Depot gift card in November by voting daily in the Home Depot Foundation’s second annul Aprons in Action Facebook contest.
The organization that receives the most votes during November will receive the prize to help fund an organizational or community improvement project and will have the opportunity to compete for the grand prize of $25,000 at the end of a yearlong program.
The Abilities Foundation is competing against three other veterans-focused organizations across the country.
The Abilities Foundation’s vision is to ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to participate with dignity in everything that community life has to offer. The Foundation supports the needs of Floridians and military veterans with disabilities through gainful employment, affordable housing, independent living, recreational/cultural resources, advocacy, health, and accessible marketplaces.
“If we win the $25,000 from Home Depot, we would be able to serve up to 600 veterans and families annually at our Veterans Victory Garden, which will enable us to engage, serve and honor wounded military veterans,” said Frank De Lucia, president and CEO of Abilities Foundation. “So help us make a difference by voting every day on Facebook, and tell everyone you know to do the same.”
