CLEARWATER – Two suspects were arrested Nov. 27 in connection to the burglary of Uncle’s Tire Shop, according to a Clearwater Police Facebook report.
A Clearwater police officer was in the area of the shop on routine patrol, when he noticed two men leaving the closed business in a red Ford truck, the report said. The officer, Chris White, recognized the truck from a BOLO he issued in August 2012 for the same location, regarding several commercial burglaries.
White stopped the suspects, Paul Patrick, 50, of St. Petersburg, and David Wilson, 26, of St. Petersburg, and they both allegedly confessed to stealing tires from the business, the report said. The pair was arrested and the truck was seized. They were also charged with two additional burglaries in the same location that happened in August.
Detectives believe the suspects are involved in additional similar burglaries, and additional charges are pending.
Currently, Patrick is charged with two counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure and was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $5,000 bond. Wilson was also charged with two counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure and was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
