City and sheriff’s employees receive recognition
Article published on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006
SAFETY HARBOR – The VFW Post 10093 recently had a special banquet awards ceremony to recognize employees of the city of Safety Harbor and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Post Commander Larry Spanish commended the honorees and will submit their names into the District 21 VFW competition.

This year’s 2005 honorees include: Dave Lock, Fire Medic of the Year; John Weston, Fire Fighter and EMT of the Year; Grover Smith, City Employee of the Year; and PCSO Deputy Chester Johnson, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.

If the honorees win at the district level, they then have a chance to be recognized regionally and throughout the United States at the July 2006 VFW State and the August 2006 VFW National Conventions.
