Mz. Goose delights children during Neighboods Day, March 15.
CLEARWATER – Kids from ages 5 to 91 celebrated Neighborhoods Day in an unusual way. Mz. Goose, the Modern Day Mother Goose, charmed young and old with her interactive storytelling.

Martha Dillard blew out the candles on her 91stbirthday cake, while Bayview Heights Association members sang and cheered.

Mz. Goose, a character created by Clearwater writer-storyteller, Elyse Aronson, had adults and children don costumes and props and act out the story of a little boy looking for a good friend. At the end of the show, they were visited by Mayor Frank Hibbard, City Manager Bill Horne, four City Council members and several other government officials.

Bayview Heights is a small neighborhood in North Clearwater of diverse races, religions and walks of life, city officials said.

Greg Mathis heads the association, which won four awards from the City of Clearwater in 2007 including Neighborhood of the Quarter and second place in the Mayor’s Award of Excellence.

Bayview Heights Neighborhood Association plans to win first place in the Mayor’s Award of Excellence in 2008.
