CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Historical Society will host a fish fry from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Ross Norton Recreation Center, 1426 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Clearwater.
The nonprofit organization asks for $10 donations for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger, which includes all-you-can-eat fried fish, hush puppies, grits, coleslaw and drinks. All proceeds go toward maintenance and upkeep of the Historic Plumb House Museum.
This museum was named after Jennie Plumb, the first paid public school teacher in Clearwater. The museum will be open during the fish fry, and then on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. until Nov. 1.
For fish fry tickets, call 804-2073 or 442-9011. For more information about free museum tours, call 399-1412 or 446-2676.
