CLEARWATER – A 16 year old wanted for the armed robbery of a Dunedin convenience store turned himself in at a Clearwater Police Station about noon Friday, Feb. 15.
Kwuashawn Wyche is accused of the armed robbery of Munchees Convenience Store, 614 Union St. in Dunedin, on Jan. 15.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives say they were able to identify Wyche through numerous tips received into the Sheriff’s Office and through Crime Stoppers, following media coverage of the robbery and the media’s assistance in playing the suspect’s voice. According to detectives, several people recognized the suspect through his voice and mannerisms.
The second suspect in this armed robbery has not been identified. Anyone with information that may assist detectives in this case is asked to contact Detective Jeff Capra of the Robbery/Homicide Unit at 727-582-6200.
