DUNEDIN – The 2013 Dunedin Historical Museum’s Tour Of Historic Homes is set for Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Seven historic homes and structures will be featured on the tour. They were built between 1888 to the 1940’s.
Proceeds will go to help expand the museum’s entranceway.
Tickets are $20 per person, which allows the visitors to view the homes and stop for refreshments at the First Presbyterian Church.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Dunedin Historical Museum, 349 Main St.; Chamber of Commerce, 301 Main St.; The Enchanted Branch, 318 Main St.; Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave., and Dr. Hale Senior Activity Center, 330 Douglas Ave., until the day before the event.
Tickets will only be available at the Dunedin Historical Museum on the day of the tour until they are sold out. The ticket will entitle visitors to a copy of the Home Tour booklet, which includes historical information about the homes. These will be given to visitors when they enter their first home on the tour.
The Patron’s House Tour Event will be held on March 22, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
This event will only allow a limited number of guests to participate on the house tour via trolley car the evening before the open house the next day. Guests will be served refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, open and cash bar and enjoy a live band at the Beso Del Sol’s reception hall and penthouse on the second floor of the facility.
Members will then tour the homes afterwards on one of four Jolly Trolleys. Cost of the tickets are $50 per person or $85 per couple. Tickets also will allow guests to tour the homes the following day as well. Tickets for the Patrons Event are available at the Historical Museum only. For reservations, call 736-1176.
The museum is also looking for volunteers to work at the homes or at the refreshment stop.
