DUNEDIN - Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives arrested an Oldsmar man on April 13 for unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
According to detectives, Cliff Ryan Cadden, 24, and a 16-year-old female were observed on the Dunedin Causeway by a deputy about 2 a.m. When the deputy turned the spotlight on them, the two began rapidly getting dressed, a police report said.
Both the victim and the suspect allegedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity and, according to the report, corroborative evidence was found at the scene.
Detectives from the Sheriff's Crimes Against Children Unit began to investigate the incident. Cadden was subsequently arrested for one-count unlawful sexual activity with a minor; and for one-count violation of injunction for protection against sexual activity filed against the suspect in 2006. His arrest record shows three counts of lewd or lascivious battery against him on Sept. 26, 2006. He remains in the Pinellas County Jail.
