DUNEDIN – A Clearwater man died early Saturday morning from injuries suffered in a crash on U.S. 19 and Republic Drive in Dunedin.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Christopher J. Holly, 28, was northbound in the left turn lane at the intersection of Republic Drive about 3 a.m. Oct. 6. When the light turned green, he attempted to make a U-turn to head south when Adrian David Rodriguez, 33, of Clearwater ran the red light.
The impact of Rodriguez’s Nissan Altima caused Holly’s Nissan Xterra to flip.
Holly died at the scene. Rodriguez received minor injuries.
