Safari Night, WaZoo on tap at Tampa’s Lowry Park

• Aug. 6 – WaZoo, 8 to 10:30 p.m.
The park’s 10th annual WaZoo celebration will feature a “tropical taste explosion” with beverage samplings from breweries worldwide and a beautiful wine garden. Featured as one of the “10 Great Beer Festivals in the Country” in USA Today, WaZoo will include a tantalizing selection of local cuisine provided by area restaurants as well as live entertainment.
Cost is $30 in advance, $35 day of event. VIP packages are available. Proceeds from the event will benefit animals at the zoo.
• Aug. 12 – Summer Safari Nights, 5 to 8:30 p.m.
During Summer Safari Nights, visitors can see favorite animals until 8:30 p.m. Rides will be free after 5 p.m., and live entertainment and special animal encounters are scheduled from 6 to 8:30.
Summer Safari Nights is included with regular zoo admission. Swinging Safari, a new miniature golf tournament, will offer both family and corporate play opportunities. To register for the tournament, call (813) 935-8552, ext. 275.
Regular admission is $14.95 adults, $13.95 seniors age 60 and over, $10.50 children ages 3 to 11, and free for children age 2 and under. Parking is free.
