LARGO – Ker’s WingHouse celebrated its 20th anniversary with a birthday bash Jan. 24.
To celebrate the anniversary, Ker’s WingHouse hosted a “momentous 20th birthday bash” at the Ker’s WingHouse of Largo, the very first location of the successful Florida franchise.
Founded by the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos alumni Crawford Ker, the first WingHouse opened in Largo in 1994. Now, WingHouse has more than 23 locations throughout Florida with plans to grow into the rest of the Southeast.
WingHouse raises funds for PCF
LARGO – Ker’s WingHouse presented a check to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation in the amount of $29,028 Jan. 22, at the corporate headquarters in Largo.
The Pediatric Cancer Foundation is proud to call Ker’s WingHouse its newest Sunshine Campaign partner in 2013. From October until December 2013, Ker’s WingHouse helped raise awareness and funds in their 22 locations by asking customers to donate $1 during their visit. The Sunshine Campaign aims to increase awareness about childhood cancer by encouraging corporate partners like Ker’s WingHouse to donate through a percentage of sales, round-up program, or a general promotion.
“The WingHouse has always made efforts to help children in our community and PCF is doing a great thing by trying to help put an end to this terrible disease,” said Crawford Ker in a press release. Ker is founder and CEO of Ker’s WingHouse.
“We thank the team at Ker’s WingHouse for their participation and we are proud to have them join us in the fight against pediatric cancer,” said Nancy Crane, executive director of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. “Their efforts will help immensely in the fulfillment of our mission to find less toxic, more targeted therapies and ultimately a cure to this disease.”
