White Dove Service Award winner for January, Jeff Meier, center, poses with Shelley Dignum, who nominated him, and Eric Theil, his manager at Seminole Mister Car Wash. Trust Business Systems sponsors the White Dove award each month.
LARGO – Trust Business Systems recognizes people who go above and beyond in their service industry through a program called the White Dove Service Award.
“Everyone can make a difference, but it’s about deciding to make a difference,” said company president Kris Hartland.
Each month, a handful of nominees are recognized for their White Dove service either by employees of Trust Business Systems or by people in the community. When a person is nominated, the information about what they did and a photo of them is posted on Trust’s Facebook page.
Each month, one of the nominees is awarded a certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
In January, Jeff Meier from Mister Car Wash in Seminole was recognized for going above and beyond while washing Shelley Dignum’s Jeep.
“Jeff was meticulously attending to my vehicle – apparently cleaning every crevice. It is inspiring to see people like Jeff who take pride in their work and seek to make customers happy,” said Dignum, who lives in Indian Shores.
In December, Kevin Taber, a manager at the Tyrone Walmart was recognized for his actions of helping Barbi Pierson’s 93-year-old grandmother with a complicated voucher for a television sold during a Black Friday event.
“He is an example of how we should treat each person we come in contact with, and I’m humbled by his effort,” said Pierson.
Walmart’s policy does not allow employees to accept monetary donations, so Taber has donated his $50 to Mildred Helms Elementary School in Largo.
“I hope this program continues to increase awareness in the community, and inspires people to give their best all the time,” said Hartland.
Anyone can nominate a person for a White Dove award on Trust Business System’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/trustbiz. The company selects a winner on the last Friday of the month.
