CLEARWATER – Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged a Largo man with two counts of attempted murder at a mobile home park in unincorporated Clearwater Saturday, May 3.
About 9 a.m., deputies responded to the Sun Terrace Mobile Home Park, lot #407, due to reports of multiple victims being stabbed. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Stephanie Santiago, 20, and Henry Minniefield, 23, had been stabbed in the chest.
Deputies along with fire rescue personnel tended to the victim’s injuries and eventually transported them to a local hospital. They are currently in stable condition, with non-life threatening injuries.
As the investigation continued, deputies identified Armando Sevilla-Cruz, 18, as the suspect.
According to victims and witnesses, Sevilla-Cruz arrived at the victim’s residence early this morning and an altercation ensued shortly after. During the confrontation, Sevilla-Cruz brandished a knife and stabbed Santiago and Minniefield in the chest. Sevilla-Cruz fled the scene but was apprehended by deputies a short time later.
When questioned about the events, Sevilla-Cruz reportedly admitted to the allegations. Sevilla-Cruz is currently being held at the Pinellas County jail. As of Saturday afternoon, no bond had been set.
